Dresser Mirror Re-vamped

Like always I went to the Habitat for Humanity Re-store on Saturday and I scored some great items.  One of those items was a beautiful dresser with a mirror on top for only $50.00!  I can’t wait to show you all when I’m finished with it. Our garage is now officially full of furniture (sorry Matt). So, while I love the dresser the mirror did not look good on top. So, I took the mirror off and decided to put it up on our wall and I LOVE how it turned out!

I gave it 2 coats of primer and then applied 3 coats of white paint after that.  The next day I sanded it to give it a distressed look and that’s it. Super super super super easy.  I didn’t put a protective top coat on because I might want to change the color in the future and it’s not something that is going to get dinged up a lot.

Here it is after:

Perfect. I never knew how to fill up the space next to our fireplace but this looks great!

Here are some closer pictures of the mirror:

If  you would buy this mirror at a home goods store it would be $50+ and I got a beautiful dresser and a beautiful mirror for that.
