DIY Geometric Bead Garland & How to Style

Hello! Happy Wednesday! Today I worked on a simple little project; I got the idea when I was strolling the aisles of Hobby Lobby the other day and saw these packets of geometric beads. They were on sale for 50% off so I grabbed 2, grabbed some string and while Emmy was playing this morning I made my own hexagon bead garland within 10 minutes!

Supplies

  • Geometric Beads
  • Hemp Jewelry Cord
  • Scissors

This is probably going to be the most simple diy you ever have done- string your beads on your string. That’s it. 🙂 I did a random pattern but you can do whatever your little heart pleases! I simply tied knots in mine at the end, you can do tassels as well but I prefer the garland without.

Important Tip!

Leave 6-12 inches of extra string when you tie your knots (otherwise your garland will not be flexible and be able to drape across things because it will be too tight)

How to Style

I love these beads so much and all of the texture and interest they bring to a space. For the first idea I wanted to share with you all- I simply placed them by a plant and a couple of glass votives on our entryway table.

Draping them across some stacked books is also a really nice way to use them.

My diffuser sits on this marble cake stand in my kitchen- I scooted the diffuser over a little and added the beads on the side. Love this look!

These beads give off a boho, eclectic look. What’s great about them is you can paint them, stain them, stamp them, etc. I love the unfinished wood look to them though! Some other ideas-throw them in a basket, a tray, a jar, etc. So versatile!

Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo Kayla
