Recent Antique Finds – Ruffled Pie Plate, Pink Deer Vase & More

Hello friends!! Hope you all are doing well! Last weekend I was able to stop at one of my favorite antique stores in town and picked up a few goodies!! For me, thrift and antique stores are hit and miss. Many times, I go and find nothing. Other times, I buy multiple items. Just depends on the day! I thought it’d be fun to show my recent antique finds to you today here on the blog.

Ruffled Pie Plate

This piece was one of the first items I picked up, I don’t think I was in the store for even 30 seconds before I spotted it and secured it safely at the counter.

I placed this on our entryway table; a perfect spot for keys!

Cute Heavy Bowls

One item I am always on the lookout for is nice, heavy ceramic bowls. I use these things all around our home. My favorite way to use them is to hold essential oil bottles next to diffusers. I have a plethora of them, so these 2 are stacked on a shelf in the laundry room. Little bowls like this are also great to hold small items on a nightstand or in a bathroom.

Cork Board Makeover

Last week I found this framed cork board at the thrift store for $1. I knew I could turn this into something cute!

I used rub n’ buff to paint the frame, added pinstriped scrapbook paper to cover up the stained cork, and used thumbtacks to attach it. We have deemed this the inspiration board for our home. Positive quotes, bible verses, etc. adorn it.

I decided to place this on our garage door- the door we use most often. That way, as we head out for our day we can read these words and be reminded of truth!

Antique Pink Deer Vase

This vase is by far, my most favorite find out of my whole haul last week.

Can we talk about the color?! The most gorgeous pink, rusty colors that make my heart swoon. The deer and greenery is so delicate and whimsical. And it is just so well made.

Scalloped Wall Hanging

This scalloped bowl was a couple bucks at the thrift store. I cleaned it up and put some faux flowers in it. I am on a pink kick right now if you couldn’t tell?! I’ll probably switch out the faux flowers for a live plant in the near future.

Our home is a collection of new and thrifted items and I truly think that’s how you stay away from a non-cookie cutter look! Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo,

Kayla
