Large Mirror in Entryway – Scale is Important

Kayla

It’s honestly a little embarrassing typing out this post – once again, I have changed up the entryway. In the last year I have tweaked this space 3 different times. We have very tall ceilings and I’ve always felt like the space has needed a large item to fill it but if I’m being honest – I’ve never wanted to shell out the money for a substantial piece. About a month ago I sucked it up, spent the money, and finally feel like the space is finished. I’ve said this in the past, lol, so completely understand if you are not convinced.

Large Mirror

After lots of looking, I ended up deciding to purchase this mirror from Urban Outfitters. It is on sale right now for almost half off! Quality is top notch and it is VERY HEAVY. I used an anchor and strong wire to attach it to the wall- I don’t think it’s going anywhere but this gives me peace of mind. It’s also meant to be leaned up against a wall on the floor and can be hung!

Tall ceilings are wonderful but I feel like can also take away from a “cozy feeling”. Or that’s how I felt about our entryway anyways – this mirror really fills up the space which I think makes it feel cozier.

So, embarrassing or not, it’s ok to change your mind and keep trying until you get a space right! A lot of times I know right away what I want and other times not so much.
