I am a Nebraska born and raised girl living in the middle of Kansas with my husband & 4 beautiful daughters. I love all things home(all things except our never-ending laundry). Most of all, I love being a wife and mother.

1. Jesus Christ is my savior.
2. I have a great fear of tornadoes. I am currently living in the middle of Kansas.
3. I literally cannot sleep in a bed that is not made. The sheets, bedspread have to be perfectly straight. Sheets squished at the end of the bed make me shudder.
4. I grew up with 5 sisters and only 1 bathroom for 1/3 of my life.
5. I love to play sports and am very competitive.
6. I love to cook and bake. Growing up I watched Rachel Ray on the Food Network channel & she basically taught me to cook.
7. I am obsessed with brushing my teeth. I brush them 5-6 times daily. Sometimes even more.
8. Diet Pepsi & coffee are my jam.
9. I delight in making lists. I have lists scattered throughout my house and without them I would get nothing done nor remember anything.
10. I adore the sound of dishwashers; the louder the better. If I could run mine all day I would.

Kayla, I just “found” you on Pinterest where I came across your great room addition and would love to see it all completed. Maybe you explained this but my question is, was that a deck at some point? We’ve don’t a bit of updating within our home but I’ve always dreamed of expanding onto the back where our deck is and turning it into a great room where our family can enjoy when everyone come home.
