Homemade Coffee Creamer
Over the last few years I’ve been trying to eat less processed food and more “real” food. I am definitely not perfect and have to admit I have a slight love affair with McDonald’s french fries; but my goal is better not perfection. The other day I tried this homemade coffee creamer recipe from Fed & Fit. To be honest, my expectations were low because I didn’t really think anything could be as good as my vanilla creamer I buy from the store. I was wrong! This stuff is delicious! I included the recipe below as well as a free printable!

Recipe
2 c. half & half OR 1 c. milk and 1 c. heavy cream
1/2 c. brown sugar (can substitute 1/2 c. granulated sugar)
1 tab. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon (try nutmeg or pumpkin spice for a different flavor)
1/4 tsp. fine salt
Mix all ingredients together in a small saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a simmer. Turn off heat, remove from stove and allow to completely cool. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Matt was a HUGE skeptic, he’s drank the same creamer for the last 10 years. He tried it (because we had no other creamer available) and was surprised at how good it was. This will be something I make every week now!
