Copper & Green Christmas Tree

Kayla

Good morning! I’m sipping on a hot cup of coffee in my warm home this morning; the sun is shining, cheerful Christmas decorations surrounding me and I feel an immense amount of gratefulness. I love quiet mornings like this; the hope that a new day brings and I definitely love my coffee (on my 2nd cup). 🙂 Today I wanted to share my copper and green Christmas tree with you all!

Christmas Tree

I’ve been wanting a flocked tree for the last few years and purchased this one. It’s one of the trees in my top ten affordable flocked Christmas trees list that you can read here. For a while there I didn’t think I would receive it in time for Christmas but after a few phone calls they magically found one in their warehouse and sent it my way! It is a great slim flocked tree and does not shed bad at all!

This year I decided on a copper and green theme for my Christmas decor. I purchased these copper ornaments for $10 as well as a pack of green ones.

Mix of Old and New

Everyone has their own way of decorating their Christmas trees; I like to mix old with new. After lights are up I add in my different bulb ornaments depending on what color scheme I’m doing, tuck in my ribbon and picks and then plan an evening for the girls to add all of our special Christmas ornaments to the tree. Matt and I have all of ours from our childhood that they put on, and the girls always get ornaments from us and their Grandma every year.

Those are my baby shoes I received the first year I was born. Sometimes the ornaments don’t really go with my color scheme but I don’t mind.

Copper and Green Themed Wrapping Paper

I found my wrapping paper from various places; Target, Home Goods and Walmart. To add in a touch of copper, I used this ribbon.

I made my own Christmas tags this year; it was a fun little craft! To see how I made those you can go here.

Nighttime Views

There is nothing better than the glow of a Christmas tree in the evening; makes the house feel so cozy and warm.

I caught Brielle chatting with our elf, Frosty who came the other night and brought the girls packs of reese’s peanut butter cups. Our dog Shadow, who is a sweets connoisseur, mistook them for his own. An unfortunate turn of events for the girls but Shadow was quite happy.

Hope you all enjoyed seeing our Christmas tree! Happy December!!

xoxo Kayla
