DIY Fall Garland for Fireplace
The last week I have been bringing out my fall items and it makes my heart so happy!! Fall is my favorite time of the year! I am always ready to welcome the cooler weather, pumpkin flavored goodies, crunchy leaves, big sweaters and boots, along with football. This year I am feeling very inspired by nature and after purchasing this book, I was inspired to create my own diy fall garland.
Supplies Needed
- grapevine
- metal leaves garland (purchased here)
- globe bulb lights (purchased here)
- dried flowers
- scissors
- command hooks
DIY Fall Garland
This was a really fun project where I really felt like I could get my creative juices flowing. I first cut down my grapevine to the size I desired and hung it up using command hooks. Command hooks are my best friend during the holidays; I always make sure I have extra lying around during this time of year. I strung the metal leaves throughout as well as the globe lights.
I found a really pretty dried floral bunch at Hobby Lobby for $10; my last step was weaving the flowers throughout. You can use whatever you desire for this step! This step also helps hide any cords you do not want seen from the lights.
I downloaded this leaves print from Etsy and put it in a frame I already had on hand.
I really am loving all of the texture of this garland. This would also be really beautiful on a white brick fireplace…. would probably stand out even more. A thought I’ll keep in mind for future reference. 🙂

Something I always add when I’m decorating for fall are twinkle lights because they add an instant coziness and warmth. Go to this post to see other ways I add cozy vibes.
