My Kitchen Favorites
The kitchen is a place to come together before our day starts. Where we gather with one another at the end of a school and work day. Our kitchen is also our craft room, paint area and play-doh station. Homework is done among the dishes. Crafts are glued together while I cook. Dancing takes place. Good talks are had with soapy hands; hard ones as well. The kitchen is the heart of the home and is where we spend the majority of our time together as a family. I’ve always treasured the act of coming together at the end of the day and even though our kitchen isn’t the biggest one around, I love it so much. At the end of 2021 we re-modeled it and it was worth every penny. I thought today I would share some of my favorite kitchen items- items I truly adore and use on a regular basis.
Everything will be linked for you all at the end of this post!
Like I stated earlier, our kitchen isn’t huge but I still love it! This bust planter houses all of our scrubby brushes for cleaning dishes. I found her at Home Goods but linked a very similar one for you all.
For literally 10 years I wanted a farmhouse sink so bad so was ECSTATIC when we re-modeled our kitchen and I knew I was going to get one. This fireclay sink is very affordable and I really like how large it is.
pantry
The pantry got a major makeover as well. I knew I wanted baskets to house all of our food items; I looked at SO many baskets. I ended up going with these baskets from The Container Store. They don’t shed (a huge plus) and are made very well. Plus the color I bought, “stone”, is so pretty!
These glass jars are really good quality and very nice-a great Amazon find.
counters
If you’re going to have a toaster out on your counter, you might as well make it a pretty one. We’ve had this one for over a year now and it works really good and is super cute!
A must have for me in the kitchen is a diffuser- I’ve had this Aria one for almost 3 years and it is my most used and favorite item in the kitchen. And obviously, it’s just gorgeous!!
Something that you might not think of for the kitchen is a speaker. A lot of times when I cook (90% of the time), I’ll put on a french cafe Youtube play list over our Marshall bluetooth speaker and it instantly creates calming, cooking, soothing vibes. (If I can tune out the kids and dogs anyways.) And most the time I’ll leave it playing when we eat dinner together. I’ve also been known to play Spanish music on taco nights as well as Italian on spaghetti night. It’s a thing and I’m here for it. (Also something I hope the girls will always remember about me.)
My everything. (Insert heart here) I linked everything below for you guys that I could. All of these items I own and love!
