Happy Monday friends! It is SNOWING here!!! The flakes were so big this morning; such a pretty thing to wake up to. We really haven’t had too much snow here this winter so I am looking forward to all of the snow we are supposed to get today. The girls have a snow day, their first one this school year, and are so excited to play in the snow!

We celebrated Emersyn’s birthday this last weekend. I cannot believe she is 2!!! How did that even happen?! The girl is obsessed with the grinch so of course we had to have a grinch themed party. It was so much fun!

While we did a lot of celebrating this weekend, I have found myself in a little bit of a funk. I don’t know if it’s the time of year or some health issues our family has had lately, but I have just felt a little more down than usual. I think sometimes I can think if I get to a certain point in my faith, my walk with God, that I can somehow be immune to feeling hard things. But as I get older, I realize that’s just not the case. I guess I somehow feel like a failure if I have any feelings of downcast, insecurity, jealousy, etc. Of course I do not want to feel those feelings but sometimes they are there. Wishing them away does not work nor ignoring them. It’s simply part of being a human and during these times, I realize how important it is to lean into God’s word.

I thought it’d be fun to share some recent beauty products that I have recently had to replace or need to replace soon. I’m a beauty and skincare junkie, you should see my bathroom cabinet! I have SO much stuff! So if I do re-purchase an item, it means I really, really love it.

For reference, I have acne prone, very sensitive, combo skin.

PRODUCTS

You all, I have tried literally SO many different types of setting powders in the last few years. SO MANY! My last one I tried was around $50 from Sephora. And I just keep going back to this Coty Airspun powder. Smells a little old lady-ish but I really don’t mind the smell at all!

I’ve been using this MaryKay moisturizer for 10 years. It is my favorite! This is lightweight, non-greasy, does not break me out, and does a great job of doing what it’s supposed to do: moisturize!

Like the powder, I have tried numerous foundations and always keep going back to this one. Medium to full coverage, great color range, and does not break me out. Much more expensive foundations that I have tried have not stopped me from grabbing this one.

I have NEVER re-purchased a face primer until now! This primer is the best one I’ve ever tried. I can definitely tell a difference when I use this. My makeup goes on smoother and lasts longer. And, as all the products above, does not break me out! (I went to link this and they must not make this product anymore. 🙁 This makes me super sad. Will see if I can find something similar.)

My go to bronzer for an everyday look. Not orange, not too dark, not too light. Perfect color and goes on so smooth.

If you haven’t hear of the NYX Butter Glosses I’d be surprised! These are affordable and so many women love them. One of my favorite shades is the Eclair.

A product I need to replace is the Secret Brightening Powder from Laura Mercier. I’ve used this for a few years now. Once my makeup is done I will take a tiny bit on a beauty blender and pat it right under my eyes to subtly brighten up the under eye area. It’s very white so a little goes a long ways!

(We went out in the snow before I was able to finish this post! Emmy made it 8.7363535 minutes out there before she wanted to come in. #typical )
