Stunning Narrow Black Cabinet with Glass Doors in Nook

Kayla

I have been searching and searching for literally years- no lie- for a piece of furniture for this space. It is quite narrow- less than 30 inches wide which has made finding something a little more difficult. For a while now I have had an antique radio cabinet that I found at a garage sale for $10 sitting in this space. You can see what it used to look like here. With time my style has changed and my heart was really set on a black cabinet with glass doors. When I came across this piece from English Elm I knew it would be perfect for the space!

UPDATE: I found this same exact piece on Amazon for almost $50 cheaper! Go here to buy!

This piece fits perfectly in this space! I really love how there is glass on all 3 sides- feels more open and I like how I can style pretty items in here without having open shelves and lots and lots of dust. 🙂

Lamps make a room extra cozy so of course I had to put one in this little nook. I’ve had this lamp for years- you can find it here. My frames usually come from Hobby Lobby- I always wait til’ they are 50% off! And this bird print is from Etsy. I usually download a digital print for under $5- and have it printed out at Walgreens.

Last year for Christmas, I asked for this Marshall Stanmore II Wireless Bluetooth Speaker. Literally one of the best items I’ve ever received as a gift. I love music and it definitely can add to the ambience of your home. A lot of times when I am cooking dinner I’ll put on a French cafe playlist off You-tube or if the girls are being extra crazy and I find myself stressed- I’ll play some type of relaxing music. It’s really nice to have!

Nothing in this cabinet is new! I shopped my home for everything and all of the books came from a thrift store. The basket is our bread basket I use for dinners- I’m always looking to decorate with items I use on a consistent basis. Pillows are another thing that add instant coziness!

When you walk through our front door- this is what you’re greeted with.

This stool and plant hides the lamp cord. Anyone else hate cords showing?!?!
