Wire Floating Shelf in Kitchen & Simple Fall Touches
Hello and happy Friday!! Not going to lie- the last 2 weeks have been full of wonderful, exciting things but also along with it- some hard. I am looking forward to the end of this week and the beginning of the weekend! Tomorrow I plan on cleaning off the front porch and starting to spruce it up for fall. I know it’s not even September yet but like I’ve stated 563954 times- I LOVE fall- and also I love to give you guys decorating ideas ahead of time! To see our open shelves decorated for fall in our living room you can go here. Yesterday, I worked on sprucing up our kitchen with a new wire floating shelf. Along with that, I sprinkled in some simple fall touches and wanted to share it with you all!

I found these wire shelves in a small shop back when I was visiting family in Nebraska- I’ve had the one on our kitchen countertops for a while now and yesterday had the idea to add another one. Floating shelves are everywhere these days and I especially love them in a kitchen.

My decorating style has definitely transformed over the years. I do like a “collected look”, minimalism is definitely not my style. With that being said, I really have simplified my decor style. Years ago, you could find bin upon bin of seasonal decor flowing out of our storage room. Over the years I have sold or donated items I no longer love and enjoy putting out only items I truly adore, not just putting something out because I have it.
This metal jack-o-lantern is from Michaels. I spray painted it white and have my desert mist diffuser in here, which has a candle flicker setting. Autumn scents permeating the air and a pretty glow from the diffuser instantly gives our kitchen a sense of fun and coziness.
These art prints both feel like fall to me; I found the frame for the leaf art print on sale at Hobby Lobby for like $3. Twinkling lights always give off cozy vibes- added some to my foxtail fern.
Like always, I shopped our home for items to decorate these wire floating shelves with. I did purchase some moss for the terracotta planter and printed out a fall art print.
Once I can get my hands on some real pumpkins, I might add a few to this area in our kitchen. Besides that, I am loving the look of this little spot in our kitchen and glad I added the other shelf!
Have a great weekend friends!!!
xoxo Kayla
