Holiday Punch

Kayla

My sisters and I were talking about how much we all LOVE punch! Who doesn’t love it?! I think what makes it so exciting, is it usually is only made for special occassions like baby showers, birthdays, weddings, holidays, etc. Punch is typically made when gathering and celebrating someone or something. But who says punch can’t be made on a random Thursday or gasp….even a Monday? Why not create a little joy for your loved ones and yourself on a random day?

That’s what I did today! My girls are at school but when they come home they will be surprised with Holiday Punch and some cookies and I know it will bring a smile to their little faces.

Recipe for Holiday Punch

I have to give credit where credit is due. I first came across this recipe from A Farmgirl’s Kitchen. You can go to her site to see the original recipe. I changed up something though which you can see in the recipe down below.

  • 1 (64 oz) container Cranberry juice cocktail
  • 14 oz of pineapple juice (For a less tangy punch, substitute orange juice for the pineapple juice.)
  • 1 container frozen lemonade
  • 1 can Sprite
  • orange slices (for garnish)
  • fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • lots of ice

Mix everything up. Garnish with the oranges and cranberries. Top with ice. And walah- Holiday Punch is made.

I made this for my family over Thanksgiving. One batch I made with the pineapple juice and the other batch with orange juice. (I have a HUGE family so we needed lots of punch!) Half the people liked the orange juice better, the other half the pineapple juice. If you want less tang go with the orange juice. I personally prefer the pineapple juice though!

Every single person in my family liked this punch. Like I said, we have lots and lots of people. Think of the Home Alone scene when the pizza guy comes to deliver their pizza and it’s pure chaos with people running all around….. that’s our house when we all get together. Chaotic but lots of fun! And there’s never a dull moment. Ever.

Do not skimp on the orange slices and fresh cranberries because that is what makes it so pretty!

I like serving mine in a large glass container like the one pictured below.

My mini banana chocolate chip muffins would pair nicely with this; another recipe my girls love.

Did you see my post of my window chalk art?! The view is much prettier at night time! Go here to see that post!

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you make this punch, I would love to hear what you think of it!
