Add Light to a Sconce Without Electricity
I love sconces- really any type of accent lighting for that matter. To me- they add a cozy element in a home. In the past I’ve used puck lights in my lights around my home that don’t have electricity to them. Honestly though, they don’t put out as much light as I would like and the batteries get drained pretty quickly. After putting up a sconce in our laundry room that was not hardwired in, I decided to look for a different option.
Chargeable Light Bulb
After searching on Amazon for quite some time and ordering a lightbulb that didn’t work out; I came across this one and I LOVE it!! For under $10 it is a great option if you have a light that you can’t or don’t want to pay to get hardwired in.
So, how does this work?! It’s super easy! To charge the lightbulb- position the switch to the lamp fixture position, put it in a light fixture that IS plugged in. It takes 10 hours to fully charge (some reviews say less time) and will last 5 hours. You can also use this as a flashlight- that’s the setting I have it on when I put it in this sconce that is not hardwired in.
What I love about this option- the light is warm, not cold. It gives off quite a bit of light which I really like; more than a puck light. And charging it is super easy. I also appreciate the fact that I’m not going to be going through tons of batteries.
You can find the light fixture here– it is such a pretty brass color! Love it against the dark walls!
I think this is such a great find! So happy I came across it!
