Addition Onto The Back of Our House : Update 2

Hello! Happy Thursday!! How is your summer going so far?! The last few weeks have kind of been a whirl wind around here- birthdays, parties, softball, guests and lots and lots of construction and noise. This week Jayde started driver’s ed. I mean, I don’t know how I’m old enough to have a child in driver’s ed – I still feel 20 something. It’s very bizarre and is a reminder of how fast time is going.

So today I thought I’d give you guys another update on our back addition! As I’m typing, they are loudly screwing something into something and I’m trying to not let myself get overstimulated- a struggle for me at times.

Framing

Last Friday they put in all the floor joists and the floor in. With our contractor, we mapped out where I wanted all of the windows, fireplace and our French door. Seeing all of this framed out makes me so excited!! I wanted a lot of natural light in this space so as you can see, our windows are quite large and we have many of them!

Having all of this framed out is making all of our family pretty excited! You really get a feel for the space. I already have all of the furniture planned out- still need to make decisions on couches and chairs but I know the style I want.
