Brielle’s Bedroom Makeover – Kid’s Bedroom -Nature/Forest Inspired
Brielle is our wild child. Free spirited, never sits still and has such a big heart for animals- any kind- I can’t even kill a spider or a fly in her presence. She would rather be outside than in. She says she is as fast as a cheetah. (She is quite fast.) And she loves to dress up as one- the other night I looked out my bedroom window into our backyard and literally thought Matt brought home another dog- she was dressed up in her cheetah costume roaming around the yard on all 4’s. Her laugh and smile are contagious. Ornery, curious and has said more than once she wants to live in the forest with all the animals. Pete’s Dragon is her favorite movie. And she’s a little obsessed with frogs. Ever since I’ve done Jayde and Aubree’s room makeovers- go here and here to see- Brielle has been begging me to make over her room. I told her when school starts I would start on it- so here we are!
Girl’s Moodboard
Nature inspired me in her bedroom design- I am so excited to start on her room and I love the way her moodboard came together! My plans are to paint the walls a soft muted yellow color and use the fox decals on her main wall which she picked out herself. Her carpet has seen better days (Shadow in his early puppy years really did a number on it) so I am brainstorming how to change them up in an affordable way. I bought her light fixture for $5 at a garage sale 8 years ago and am still planning on keeping that!
I really want to incorporate a diy window seat along with some other big ideas for that wall-not sure what we are looking at timewise but I’m really excited for that aspect of the room makeover. I plan on sharing the whole process with you all!
