DIY Snowy Forest Christmas Doormat- Anthropologie Dupe

Kayla

I’m always down for a good crafting session- and I’ve had this idea on my mind for the last few weeks! When I saw this Snowy Forest Christmas Doormat on Anthropologie’s site I knew I wanted it but also thought- hmm pretty sure I could make something very similar for way less money! So this morning I blasted some Christmas music and made this Anthropologie Dupe for less than half the cost!

Inspiration

This was my inspiration. And actually I just went onto their website to see the price and it’s no longer available- but I believe it was close to $50.

Supplies

  • Coir Door Mat
  • Outdoor Acrylic Paint (I used a light green, a dark green and white)
  • Paintbrushes

Snowy Forest Doormat

This was so fun to make and cost me less than $20! I printed out a few pictures of different shaped pine trees thinking I would use them as stencils- but more so just used them as inspiration. Pine trees are pretty simple to paint- I am definitely no artist- so if I can do it- you can too!

I mixed a lighter green paint color with a darker and used that to create some shadows on the trees. Using a small paint brush I made little dots all over the mat to create a “snowy” look.

Can’t wait to style this on our front porch for Christmas! Still trying to come up with a design for the front porch- November is flying by so I better do it sooner rather than later!
