New Chair In Living Room
Our living room has always been a challenge for me to design because the layout is a little awkward in my opinion. Last year we added built-ins which completely changed the look of the room for the better- you can see that post HERE. After many years of wanting new living room furniture we were able to purchase a sectional that fits in the space very nicely. In this post I talk about the pros and cons of a sectional. (I am team sectional!) There was one more thing I wanted to complete the room and that was a chair. This last week we received our new chair for our living room and I thought I’d share it with you all!

I think sometimes in a small space people think they can’t add more furniture because it will make the space feel smaller which can be true but that’s not always the case. In this instance I felt like our living room area needed a little more defined and extra seating is never a bad thing; this chair solves both those problems.
If I had my choice I would prefer a less open floor plan because depending on your layout it can be tougher to define spaces when your home is so open. I like defined spaces and this chair helps kind of enclose the living room off from our dining room.
In this picture you can see how close our dining room is to our living room, not enough space to do a couch on this side but this chair fits great!

I had all intentions of getting a stationary accent chair. A few of the girls and me went into a furniture store to look for one and they begged me to get this chair because it rocked and swiveled. It was too expensive but after coming home I did some research and found it on sale for almost $300 cheaper online and I snagged it up. I think it must’ve been my lucky day because the site I bought it from is now out of stock and the chair is only available a few places that I can find and is more expensive than what I paid. I really like the style of this chair, the fact that it rocks and swivels as well as the size. It’s a smaller chair which I actually like since there’s not a lot of space to work with in this area.
