Organic Valentine’s Day Fireplace Mantle

Over the last few years I really haven’t decorated for Valentine’s Day- but this year wanted to give a simple nod to the occasion! After getting all of my Christmas decorations down and put away, the house was feeling pretty bare, especially our mantle. So, I grabbed some dried and faux flowers from Hobby Lobby and put together this very simple, organic Valentine’s Day Fireplace Mantle look.

Over Christmas, I scored this beautiful chunky antique mirror for $35 at an antique store! I love it up here on the mantle. I screwed this log into our mantle when decorating for Christmas- I hung our stockings, garland and lights on it and it has been my favorite Christmas look yet! You can go HERE to see. Since I don’t love our mantle (someday would like a different one), I decided to leave the log up. Unique and different? Yes. But I really love the natural, organic look it brings to the area.
