Weekend Getaway- Hamilton, Christmas Finds, My Favorite Podcasts & A Peek of the Kitchen

Hello friends! Can you all believe next week is Thanksgiving?! Per usual, life is moving at record speed. Last weekend my oldest daughter, Jayde, and me spent the weekend together in Omaha. I surprised her with tickets to Hamilton and she was BEYOND excited! I have never taken a one on one trip with her like this; it’s hard finding the time for one on one time with my girls but I know how important that is to do. We had such a fun trip! Hamilton was absolutely amazing; better than what I even expected. We managed to squeeze in pedicures, a ton of shopping as well as eating, a movie, and it was really fun spending some one on one time with her.

Hamilton

Last year Hamilton came to Disney Plus. I had heard people talking about it but didn’t have any clue what it was about. One night Jayde and me sat down to watch it and we have been obsessed ever since, especially Jayde. She knows pretty much all the songs and has watched it multiple times on tv. Seeing it in person was so awesome, definitely suggest going to it if you can make it happen.

Look at this cool tree made out of plants at Mulhall’s, a super cool garden center that I always try to stop by whenever we are in town.

Christmas Finds & A Peek at the Kitchen

We managed to fit in some shopping over the weekend and I wanted to share a couple Christmas finds that I’m excited about.

I saw this rosemary tree at Mulhall’s and had to have it. It was under $20 and I placed it in one of my diy aged terracotta pots. For my simple way to age them go HERE.

The tree smells SO good!!

You are getting a little peek at this area of our kitchen- I am still waiting on one bigger thing to be done until I show you all the whole thing. I found this faux eucalyptus wreath at Target and knew it would be so pretty on our hood. It feels appropriate for Christmas but I’ll also be able to use it for other seasons so I really like that aspect of it as well.

Do you like puzzles?! I love puzzles but have never really had anywhere to do one where it wouldn’t get messed up because of a certain 2 year old.

That’s why I was so excited when I found this puzzle board on clearance at Target.

The board opens up and then has 2 pieces you can take out and lay on top of your puzzle so the pieces don’t slide around when folded back up.

After reading some reviews it seems like the board should be a little larger to fit 1000 + piece puzzles. A little disappointing but we will see if it can fit our 500+ one.

Favorite Podcasts

After Jayde and me listened to Christmas music, she watched a movie on our drive and I listened to my podcasts. I love listening to Podcasts, makes the time go by so much quicker. I am always on the lookout for good ones and thought I would share my favorite ones with you all. And if you have any suggestions I would love to hear your favorite ones!
