Fall Porch Swing

Kayla

This morning Emmy and me had a mini photo shoot out on the porch swing. I have it all decked out for fall and wanted to share the cuteness I captured. Something about this time of year makes me nostalgic. Nostalgia creeps in and I yearn for time to slow down just a little so I can soak it all in a tiny bit longer. Maybe it’s because we are so busy with school stuff and activities or maybe it’s because the magic of the season makes it’s way and I’m afraid it will pass before I can savor it. Capturing moments like these makes my heart flutter and gosh, even though it’s hard some days, I love being a mom so much and am so grateful for my 4 little girls.

I had the idea to do some sort of basket hanging on my chalkboard this fall season. To see how I made this chalkboard for under $20, go to this post. After searching, I found a set of 3 totes on Amazon for $11! Perfect for what I was picturing.

I placed a black liner from one of my mums I had bought in the bottom and set my terracotta pot on top. You obviously need something sturdy to hang the bag from so I just put a nail in the frame of my board to hang it from.

We love books in this house and over the years have collected lots of fall ones. You can head to this post to see a roundup of our absolute favorite ones!

I am all about the warm, fall colors this year and honestly most years past. Terracotta colors, yellows, reds, etc. are speaking to me!

Her smile is so darn cute and is exactly like her oldest sister Jayde’s, when she was that age.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! And I hope it’s cooling down wherever you are! Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo Kayla
