Our Favorite Kids’ Valentine Books and Gift Ideas

I am getting this post out a little later than I would like but everything I’m linking you should still be able to get in time for Valentine’s Day and if not you can come back to this post next year! Also, a lot of items you could probably find in a store near you. Do you all celebrate Valentine’s Day?! I always like to get the girls a little something for them to wake up to in the morning, whether it’s as simple as a small box of chocolates or a little toy or book. Matt usually gets each of them flowers for Valentine’s Day. I am really happy he does that, every little girl desires to be treasured by their father.

I am a firm believer that books always make a great gift, especially with little kids! Here are some of our favorite kids’ valentine books!

Kids’ Valentine Gift Ideas

  • Cupcake Baking Experience My girls love to bake with me! A fun idea would be to get a boxed cupcake mix like this one , some frosting, fun sprinkles and cupcake liners. And then have yourself some baking fun! This is what I’m planning on doing this year for my girls!
  • Squishies My girls love these squishies. Have you heard of them before? You could buy this set and divide them up between your kids.
  • Coloring Books & Crayons A lot of times my go to gifts involve some type of craft activity because my girls seem to love these types of gifts and we could always use more crayons. They seem to disappear like socks do around here! A few ideas of coloring books: 1, 2 and 3. And here are some fun crayons as an option.
  • Games We love a good game night over here; games are another thing I like to gift. We love this Spot It game, Yahtzee, and a simple deck of cards. For little kids, the game war is a really easy game for them to learn!
  • Jewelry When I was a little girl I loved me some stick on earrings, anyone else?! If your kid’s ears are pierced, here is a cute option as well.
  • Candy obviously is always a winner, a box of chocolates with a simple rose, a cute stuffed animal with a sucker, etc.
  • Time Spent Together A gift doesn’t have to be a tangible thing. Give them a gift card to Dairy Queen, the movie theatre, bowling alley, their favorite restaurant, etc. Take your kids each out on an individual “date” night, using their gift card. Kids will appreciate this over a tangible gift any day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!
