Christmas Garland Idea Over Kitchen Window

christmas-garland-idea

Are you decorating for Christmas yet?! I have always been an “early” Christmas decorator. I love the glow of lights, especially since it gets darker out sooner now. (Still getting used to that!) Christmas garland over my kitchen window is one of the first places I like to start decorating.

Cozy Christmas Garland Idea

This frosted pine garland was a Hobby Lobby find; I’ve had this for a few years now and it has held up great. I doubled up on the garland and used two to create a fuller look.

I use longer nails to hang the garland around my window; just hammer them into the space between the trim and the wall. I strung some lights throughout and then placed eucalyptus sprigs where the string was showing. One of my pet peeves is when strings or cords are showing. Of course you can still see some of the string sticking out here and there but overall I am happy with it.

If you look closely in the picture above you can see the string is in-between the trim and cabinet. I simply used some hot glue to attach it to that space so it didn’t stick out and placed a Christmas tree to hide the rest of it.

A few bottle brush trees that were also purchased from Hobby Lobby.

I started going through my Christmas stuff and realized I had gotten rid of a lot of it last year. Over the last few years I have really tried to simplify and organize everything about our lives. I may have to get a few more things though. 😉 Some faux candles here help give off cozy vibes. I love these candles because they have a timer and a remote with them. I don’t even bother buying battery operated candles without a timer; otherwise I always forget to turn them off and run the battery out in no time.

I am still OBSESSED with my Young Living Essential Oils! I am planning on doing a post all about them; still working on educating myself and trying different ways to use them.

Cozy Night-time Vibes

This Christmas garland makes the kitchen feel so cozy at night.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
