Fall Porch – Salmon Colored Mums & A Plethora Of Pink Pumpkins

Kayla

Fall is in the air and I am SO ready for it!!! This last week we have been blessed with cooler weather, with some rain as well, and it has been glorious. So glorious, that I decided it was time to deck out the porch for fall! I drove past our local hardware store and saw the prettiest pink colored mums and turned my car around real quick. I have never seen salmon – colored mums before – they are SO pretty!! They were the whole inspiration for the porch! At our Walmart, I was excited to find some Cinderella pumpkins and grabbed a cartful of those as well. Every year I try to do something new on the porch for fall and it really is one of my favorite things to do! Grab a warm drink, a cozy place to curl up, and welcome to our fall front porch!

Before

At the end of each season, the porch always starts looking a little sad and bare.

My stenciled floor is still holding up nicely – and I don’t mind the worn look – go here to see how I did it!

I always make sure to wash my pumpkins with water & dish soap – helps them to stay good longer. If you want to do an extra step go to this post to see how to preserve them the whole fall season. It truly works!

Fall Porch

The last few years, I’ve continued to use these terracotta pots – they are classic, affordable and will never go out of style. And typically you can find these at garage sales or thrift stores – another bonus! Go here to see how to naturally age them – SO easy to do!

We had these new windows put in within the last year and they have made SUCH a difference! We love having all the natural light and I think it looks better than the 1 smaller window before.

Front Door Hanging Fall Bundle

I wanted to do something other than the typical wreath on our front door- I found some inspiration on Pinterest of some hanging fall bundles and decided to try to make my own. One afternoon, I went searching throughout our front & back yard – I clipped branches, zinnias, dead boxwoods and anything else I thought would look good. I picked up a fallen branch and came up with this!

I popped in a few faux sprigs to add some color. This wool pink and white scarf goes perfectly with the decor on the porch and adds a cozy texture!

Fall Door Mat

I’ve used this pink and blue rug to layer under our door mats for the last year- I purchased it on sale from Anthropologie a long time ago. This “I put a spell on you” is from Walmart – you can purchase it here. It’s so fun!

Fall Porch Swing & Chalkboard

The front porch swing is our favorite area to hang out at on crisp fall mornings or cool fall evenings. Years ago, I made this huge chalkboard that I like to change up for the different seasons – go HERE to see how I made it.

Every fall season, Emersyn and me have a little photo shoot on the porch – it’s crazy to look back and see how much she’s grown over the years.

My sweet, Emmy. (insert heart)

Ceramic Jack-O-Lanterns

On a recent grocery trip, I saw these white ceramic jack-o-lanterns, and it was love at first sight. I still need to grab some outdoor candles for them to light them up at night! I’m not a huge spooky Halloween decor fan – I like more cute, semi-scary but not really, type of decor.

Pinks, Whites & Blues

I always pick out a few colors to decorate the porch – this year the salmon-colored mums were my inspiration- pink, blues and creams. Maybe not your typical fall colors but equally beautiful!

That concludes the fall front porch tour! Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo
