Laundry Room Winter Refresh
After Christmas decorations are put away, I am always ready to freshen up our home. The other day I got the itch to freshen up the laundry room so did just that! I shopped my home, rearranged some items, brought in a few real plants to bring some life to the room and added a new rug and lamp. Doing simple change ups like this allow me to get out my creativity and brings new life to a room!
A few years ago, Matt and I put up this bead board wall. I put up some wallpaper and eventually swapped it out for this print. This wallpaper still makes my heart leap to this day. It is unfortunately no longer available.
The laundry room is also our mud room. It’s small but we have made it work! The girls hang their book bags and coats on these hooks everyday and the basket is for whatever odds and ends get left in here.
We have one wire basket that holds laundry in here. It holds quite a bit but also makes me keep up with the laundry (for the most part).
Recently, I purchased this rug for the laundry room. It is a thin rug, definitely need a pad underneath. The print is really pretty and I like the pop of red it adds to the room!
My Favorite Little Corner
This little section is my favorite in the room. I did buy this new plant and placed it in one of my aged terracotta pots. Hopefully I can keep this one alive, I am so far 0-3 in the pilea plant department. You can go here to see how I easily age my terracotta pots!
Some of these items are garage sale finds- the accordion hook and the little shelf that holds a lot of my essential oils. And they are both included in my favorite pieces in this room!
This old jar holds my scent booster; you can find the recipe here. I add this to my washer when I’m washing blankets, sheets, etc.
Part of me is toying with the idea of painting this room (besides the bead board wall) the darker color on the ceiling. It is the same color I painted our pantry, go here to see that. We will see!
